EGS Training Instructor is Mr. PONNUDURAI MCA, CSP (VC), He is a trainer for Risk Management, Disaster Risk Management, Crisis Management, National Building Code, Scale of Fire Extinguishers, Corporate Vigilance, Arms License, PSAR Act 2005, Business Continuity Planning, Fire Safety Management, IED and Bomb Threat Handling, Arms Act & Arms Licensing, X-BIS and Image Interpretation, Cybersecurity and Data Protection, Crisis Simulation Exercise, Public Places & Business Complex Security, Public Places & Business Complex Security, ESS & Technological Applications in Security Management.
Mr. Ponnuchamy Karupanan, born on June 1, 1954, is a retired Tamil Nadu Police Service (TPS) officer with a Bachelor of Arts degree. His career spanned 19 years in the Vigilance and Anti-corruption department, during which he gained a reputation for his unwavering integrity and dedication to his duties.
Ponnuchamy served in various capacities across Tuticorin, Tirunelveli, and Villathikulam as a Sub-Inspector (SI). His commitment to justice and fairness earned him the endearing nickname “People’s Police” among the locals.
Throughout his illustrious career, Ponnuchamy garnered numerous accolades and honors. Notably, he was awarded the Chief Minister’s Medal, Independence Day honors, and the President’s Medal for his outstanding service and contributions. In total, he received over 30 awards for his exemplary work.
Ponnuchamy’s tenure in the Vigilance and Anti-corruption Department was marked by his involvement in handling a multitude of cases. He was renowned for his meticulous approach to investigations, resulting in the successful resolution of many high-profile cases.
One noteworthy accomplishment of Ponnuchamy was his pivotal role in uncovering a corruption scandal involving the illicit trade of ginger beer. This investigation, which spanned over 30 years, ultimately led to the apprehension of individuals involved in the multi-crore scam. His relentless pursuit of justice in this case solidified his reputation as a tenacious and dedicated officer.

Colonel M Arumugam, Commissioned to Armoured Regiment, Indian Army in 1992. I have been proud enough to have served with the Elite Armoured corps almost in all religions of our Bharath. Actively participated in various operations in Jammu and Kashmir and north east states. I led my squadron in Kargil war in 1999 in capturing tiger hill.
TRAINING INFRASTRUCTURE
Training Infrastructure. EGS Guards has an Outsourcing Training Academy for comprehensive training of its staff. It comprises Indoor Training and Outdoor Training facilities at two locations mentioned below.
Indoor Training
Indoor Training is conducted in a YMCA building at Y.M.C.A. PALAYAMKOTTAI, Popular Street, Manakavalam Pillai Nagar, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli – 627002. The facility comprises a Training Hall and a Video Projection Hall with all required amenities.
Outdoor Training
The outdoor Training curriculum is conducted at Tirunelveli. The facility comprises an outdoor training area spread over 5-acre area complete with all training amenities. Conducted at Y.M.C.A. PALAYAMKOTTAI, Popular Street, Manakavalam Pillai Nagar, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli – 627002.
The Institute has a well-established Class Room to Train 30 Security Personnel with PowerPoint Presentation on 60mm Screen with Lesson Plans both in English and Tamil Languages.
It also has a Model Lab equipped with the conventional Security Equipment to the Latest Electronic Gadgets used in Security Industry along with First Aid and Fire Fighting & Rescue Equipment to Train and Handles by the Security Personnel.
